As God sends spring at winter’s end and Birds return to build again – as dark woods quicken into green beneath the kiss of April’s rain, so shall I wake one happy day and feel the pulse of life anew, looking out with fearless eyes towards a broader brighter view – discovering forgotten dreams and happiness long denied – learning how to live again, by many sorrows purified. As new sap rises in the bough and bursts the folded buds apart, so will hope bring forth her flowers and joy return unto my heart. -Strong
New 4×4″ oil on canvas. In the spirit of Easter – from Friday’s work.
These are the moments in our lives, there are moments in the day, when we seem to see beyond the usual. Such are the moments of our greatest happiness. Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom. It was in this hope that the arts were invented. – Henri

Time is infinitely long and each day is a vessel into which a great deal may be poured,if one will actually fill it up.
New 8×8″ Late Afternoon Shadows / Pole Barn : oil on canvas.
Only a wise man draws from life and from every stage of it, its true savour, because only he feels the beauty, the dignity and the value of life. The flower of youth may fade but the summer, the autumn, and even the winter of human existence have their majestic grandeur, which the wise man recognizes and glorifies. – Amiel
Walk softly on a woodland path, put each foot down with care,
for those who own this bit of world are around us everywhere.
Walk gently on a woodland path, for trespassers are we.
On land that owned by furry ones-bird butterfly and bee.

We will be happy if we can get around to the idea that art is not an outside and extra thing, that it is a natural outcome of a state of being; that the state of being is an important thing.. – Henri

An abandoned homestead borders on my property, but I do not consider the dilapidated buildings an eyesore, nor the gnarled Orchard haunted during a full moon.
Instead, I welcome the old place as my most interesting neighbor.

A little while and then I will reclaim
Familiar places, edges with beads of gold,
And sight an orchard in a pool of flame.
Forgetful of the stinging sleet and cold.
And soon the birds will fill our hearts with song,
Pouring their cheer all day long.
